About CJ Lim

I help parents make sense of what is happening at home.

For over 10 years, I have worked alongside autistic children and families. With an MA in Special and Inclusive Education, I offer calm, context-based parent guidance that turns what you notice at home into practical next steps.

My story

Over 10 years alongside autistic children and families.

Inside classrooms and 1-to-1 support, I learned that the behaviour adults see is often the end of a longer pattern. A child may be confused by the task, overwhelmed by the environment, unable to show what they know, or still processing the instruction.

I founded APC to help parents slow the moment down, understand what may be happening, and choose a practical next step without blame.

How I work

Clarity first, then one realistic change.

Notice the whole pattern. We look at what happens before, during, and after the moment.
Make sense of the demand. We consider communication, regulation, routines, sensory load, learning, and adult responses.
Plan what fits your family. You leave with practical direction for what to observe, adjust, and try next.

Clear scope

APC is parent education and structured parent support.

APC is not an ABA provider, diagnostic service, therapy clinic, OT, speech therapy, psychology service, medical provider, or crisis support service.

APC works with you, not instead of the therapists your child is already seeing.

Additional training

Open the details if they matter to you.

These areas inform how I notice patterns and explain options. They do not change APC's scope as parent education and support.

Regulation and participation trainingRMTi Level 1 and 2, with SCERTS-informed support

CJ has completed the 3-day SCERTS training, covering neurodevelopment, communication stages, emotional regulation, support planning, learning environments, and progress monitoring. APC may integrate relevant SCERTS concepts into parent education and home support planning. APC does not provide official SCERTS training.

Speech, oral-motor, and feeding awarenessTalkTools Level 1 and 2

This helps me notice possible speech clarity, oral-motor, and feeding-readiness factors. APC does not replace speech therapy or feeding therapy.

How Hanen training informs my workEveryday communication through responsive interaction
