Hanen-informed. Built on ten years beside autistic children in Malaysia.

If any of this sounds familiar

  • Your child has gone quiet, or never really started talking, and you are not sure how to reach them.
  • You have tried explaining, asking why, gently pushing, and it seems to close them down further.
  • You are on a waiting list, between therapists, or simply want to know what to do at home in the meantime.
  • You quietly worry that you are doing it wrong, or that you have missed something.

You are not failing your child. The truth is gentler than that: your child is already communicating, in behaviour, in silence, in repetition. This course helps you learn to read it, and to respond in ways that keep the door open.

What this course is

Four short video modules you can watch in your own time, on any device. Each one ends with a simple one-page tool you can print and use the same day. It is built around connection and understanding, not pressure or performance, and it draws on Hanen principles for how communication grows in young children.

It is parent education. It is not speech therapy or diagnosis, and it is designed to work alongside your child's therapists, not instead of them.

Inside the four modules

Module 1

What your child is already telling you

Behaviour, silence, shutdown, and repetition are all communication. You move from "why are they doing this" to "what are they trying to tell me."

Tool: a one-page observation guide.
Module 2

What gets in the way

The natural responses, explaining, reasoning, raising your voice, asking why, often close communication down for autistic children. You will see what to do instead.

Tool: a before and after response card.
Module 3

What actually helps

Communication grows in low-demand moments, shared attention, and following your child's lead. A core Hanen principle, made practical for home.

Tool: a daily connection moments planner, five minutes a day.
Module 4

When it is hard, and what to do next

Progress is not linear and regression is normal. The goal is a child who feels safe enough to try. Includes when and how to involve a speech therapist.

Tool: a one-page referral guide, with what to say at the first appointment.

Questions parents ask

Is this speech therapy?

No. It is parent education about understanding and connection. Speech therapy is delivered by a licensed therapist, and Module 4 helps you find and work with one.

Will it replace my child's therapist?

No, and it is not meant to. It is designed to sit alongside the support your child already has, so you feel more confident at home between sessions.

My child is non-speaking. Is this still for me?

Yes. The whole course starts from the idea that communication is far wider than speech. It is just as relevant whether your child uses words, few words, or none yet.

I have no time. How long is it?

The modules are short and self-paced, and the daily practice is about five minutes. You go at your own pace and keep access.
